Hi All,
This is a reminder that the ASI AGM is this weekend.

The AGM was initially scheduled for this Saturday the 28th March, however as many members may want to go to Eric’s retirement BBQ in Matamata on Saturday, we have postponed the meeting until Sunday.

So, the new details are:

The aircraft is now complete and ready for jumping.
We have final critical components now being worked over. These relate to insurance & the new ’sharing the skies’ document that covers SOPs (standard operating procedures) of co-joint operations of all aviation clubs on base (para, power, gliding, model). There has been a huge amount of work going into these final issues and we expect that Para Ops will have an official start date soon.

I will make an official announcement as soon as a firm date is know. Watch this space !

It is expected that when we do have a firm start date that we will begin op’s with licenced jumps only for the first weeks. Once we are comfortable with the SOPs, Para Ops will be opened up to full student training status.
